JOHN WEISS
A driven, creative and goal-oriented global marketing professional, John spearheads development and execution to deliver impactful results for CURICH|WEISS and its clients. With more than 20 years of experience, John continues to represent venerable brands and top company executives across multiple industries. Based in Los Angeles, John oversees the firm’s Travel, Hospitality and Real Estate Division, while simultaneously working closely with Co-Founder James Curich to help guide clients in today’s everchanging landscape.
Before co-founding CURICH|WEISS John held senior leadership positions with noted brands and at top agencies. John’s extensive travel and hospitality background has included working with Virgin Atlantic Airways; The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as well as the hotel's star-studded New Year’s Eve Grand Opening celebration with performances by Jay-Z and Coldplay; the grand re-opening of the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach; The Plaza Hotel; Club Med; Richard Gere’s The Bedford Post Inn and many others. In addition, he has handled high profile events and projects including for Cash Money Records as well as The Art of the Automobile: Masterpieces of the Ralph Lauren Collection on display at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
John has overseen noted accounts including evian, where he led the development and execution of the #evianbotteservice program, called one of the “5 Hottest Twitter Innovations From Brands” by AdWeek; the launch of Wheat Thins Popped with Kelly Osbourne in addition to many of the world’s top wine and spirit brands such as Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, Stolichnaya Vodka, Dom Perignon, Louis XIII Cognac, and Veuve Clicquot.
John is a graduate of The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut and of Boston University, where he graduated with a B.A. in International Relations and minor in Business Administration.
